Rec Rentals @ the Docks celebrates Welland’s rich history while embracing the future by bringing activity back to the water. Located in the heart of the city, it’s the perfect spot for picnics, gatherings, and canal adventures. With a larger inventory, there’s more opportunity than ever to explore and enjoy the waterway. Stop by and experience all the fun we have to offer!

Rental fees

All rentals include a boat, life jacket, and paddles

Single Rider 15.91 per hour
($7.96 for an additional 30 minutes)
Children (under 12) Free
(one boat, one hour, once a day)
Double Rider/Special Equipment $21 per hour
($10.50 for an additional 30 minutes)
Adult with child (under 12) %50 regular price
Equipment Recovery Surcharge $1.50
Equipment Replacement (stolen, broken or lost) $60
EconoPass $98.34 for 15 visit pass
(any boat, one hour rental)
Giftcards Single rider - $15.91
Double rider - $21
Group rental (includes staff and equipment) $164 hourly

2025 dates and hours of operation

Opening day: Saturday, May 17
May 17 to June 28: Weekends and holidays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
June 29 to September 1: Weekends and holidays, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.;
Weekdays, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
September 2 to October 13: Weekends and holidays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sunday, July 20: - Rec Rentals @ the docks will be closed
Saturday, September 27: - Rec Rentals @ the docks will be closed

Please note that the last rental of the day is sent out one hour before closing. No rentals are permitted to leave the docks after this time.
