Fitness, Recreation, and Volunteer Opportunities

With their giving spirit and sense of community, volunteers are the backbone of a community.

City of Welland volunteers play integral roles in our festivals, events, and programs. Simply put, we are a great community because of them. Individuals of all ages and abilities are encouraged to play an active role in their community by volunteering their time and helping to deliver recreation and culture programs.

Volunteers are interviewed and matched with positions meeting their individual needs and interests. Along with training and supervision, volunteers are provided with enjoyable opportunities, rewarding experiences, and ongoing recognition and incentive programs throughout the year.
