Stay up to date with what’s open and closed this Holiday Season.

  • City Hall -All City Hall Departments will be closed from Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at 2 p.m. to Wednesday, January 1, 2025, inclusive, and will re-open on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at 8:30 a.m.
  • Public Works - Will be closed December 25, December 26, and January 1, 2025.
  • Welland Farmers’ Market - Will be open Saturday, December 28, 2024.
  • Main Arena
    • - Monday, December 23, 2024 Holiday Free Skate at the Main Arena 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
    • - Closed Wednesday, December 25, 2024
    • - Closed Thursday, December 26, 2024
    • - Friday, December 27, 2024 Holiday Free Skate at the Main Arena 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
    • - Monday, December 30, 2024 Holiday Free Skate at the Main Arena 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
    • - Tuesday, December 31, 2024 New Year’s Eve Skate at the Main Arena is from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (Free for everyone). Non-perishable food items are collected at this free event to support The Hope Centre.
    • - Closed Wednesday, January 1, 2025
    • - Thursday January 2, 2025 Holiday Free Skate at the Main Arena 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
    • - Friday January 3, 2025 Holiday Free Skate at the Main Arena 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

    Please visit Skating and Welland Arenas for regular scheduled public skating.

    12 years of age and under must wear a CSA approved helmet and a face cage is recommended; bicycle helmets are not permitted.

    • - Closed Christmas Day: Wednesday, December 25, 2024
    • - Closed Boxing Day: Thursday, December 26, 2024
    • - Open Friday, December 27, 2024 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
    • - Open Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
    • - Open Sunday, December 29, 2024 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
    • - Open Monday, December 30, 2024 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
    • - Closed New Year's Eve: Tuesday, December 31, 2024
    • - Closed New Year’s Day: Wednesday, January 1, 2025
    • - Regular service will resume on Thursday January 2, 2025, at 8 a.m.

Taxes and/or Water - Payment of bills may still be made by utilizing the drop box located at the easterly front entrance of Civic Square, 60 East Main Street.

Parking tickets - payments can now be made using Visa or MasterCard through our online service at www.welland.ca/parking/onlinepayments.asp (please allow for 2 business days, for your ticket to be processed and added to the online payment system).
