Thanksgiving Day Hours

Stay up to date with what’s open and closed this Thanksgiving Day, Monday, October 14, 2024.

  • City Hall - All City Hall Departments will be closed on Monday, October 14, 2024, for Thanksgiving Day, and will re-open on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 8:30 a.m.
  • Public Works - Will be closed.
  • Empire Sportsplex - Open daily, Hours of Operation: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • The Docks, Rec Rentals - Open Monday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Welland Community Centre - Closed on Monday and will re-open on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 8 a.m.
  • Main and Jack Ballantyne (Youth) Arenas - Will be closed.

Taxes and/or Water - Payment of bills may still be made by utilizing the drop box located at the easterly front entrance of Civic Square, 60 East Main Street.

Parking tickets - payments can now be made using Visa or MasterCard through our online service at www.welland.ca/parking/onlinepayments.asp (please allow for two business days, for your ticket to be processed and added to the online payment system).

In the event of an urgent road, water, sewer, facilities, or forestry problem, please call the City’s 24-hour response line at 905-735-1700 x3000.
