Notice of road closure - Clare Avenue between Quaker Road and Woodlawn Road

This is to notify the public of a road closure on Clare Avenue between Quaker Road and Woodlawn Road. This roadway will be closed to traffic between June 11 and July 16 for the construction of municipal infrastructure to service a new subdivision. Local traffic can still access Heritage Lane from Woodlawn. During this time, vehicles are advised to use Pelham Street, Woodlawn, and Rice Road to bypass the closure.

Notice of construction - Quaker Road Sanitary Trunk Sewer Upgrade

City of Welland and Town of Pelham Quaker Road Closure

• Quaker Rd Closure - Notice 1

Niagara Region will be constructing a new sanitary trunk sewer along Quaker Road between Pelham Street and Rice Road in the City of Welland and Town of Pelham. The new 600mm sanitary trunk sewer was identified as a long-term system improvement, which provides sanitary sewer relief along Quaker Road connecting the Pelham Street Regional sanitary sewer to the outlet sewer east of Rice Road. This will provide adequate capacity for future sanitary flows.

Forks Road bridge closure

• Forks Road Bridge Closure

This is to notify the public of a road closure of the Forks Road bridge. This closure is required for public safety. The bridge construction has made significant progress to date including the completion of all demolition works, preparation of the piers and abutments, installation of the steel girders and commencement of decking. The bridge is on track for completion in August 2024.

Temporary closure of King Street

Please note the temporary closure of King Street from Avenue Place to Griffith Place from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Monday, July 1 for Canada Day activities. Emergency services will still have access during this time.

Please be aware of the temporary closure of the Aqueduct path from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Monday, July 1 for a Canada Day fireworks display.

Temporary closure of Colborne Street and the Kingsway at Forks Road

Please note the temporary closure of Colborne Street and the Kingsway at Forks Road on Saturday, July 6 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Central Ontario Rowing Association are hosting their annual regatta, with parking in the lot off Colborne and just north of the train tracks. During this time, only local traffic will have through access.

Please note the temporary closure of Colborne Street and the Kingsway at Forks Road for the Provincial Championship regatta hosted by Row Ontario on July 20 and 21. Parking is available in the lot off Colborne and just north of the train tracks. From 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., these roadways will be closed and only local traffic will have access.
