Planned road closure and watermain shutdown Wellington Street

Please be advised the City of Welland will be conducting a valve repair/replacement on Thursday, January 23rd commencing at 7:00 AM.

Wellington will be closed between Hagar and Eastdale Crescent Access to Eastdale High School Via Lincoln Street

Water service may/will be interrupted, please consider filling clean jugs for drinking and cooking purposes during that time frame. Please refrain from doing laundry and using the dish washer until after the valve operations are complete.

Once the testing/repairs are complete, you may temporarily experience discolored water, this is common and can be quickly rectified by running your cold water only in the lowest point in your home (basement laundry tub, washroom sink). This may take 5-15 minutes, if after 15 minutes you have not seen improvement, please contact the City of Welland Public Works division.

Notice of construction - Quaker Road Sanitary Trunk Sewer Upgrade

City of Welland and Town of Pelham Quaker Road Closure

• Quaker Rd Closure - Notice 1

Niagara Region will be constructing a new sanitary trunk sewer along Quaker Road between Pelham Street and Rice Road in the City of Welland and Town of Pelham. The new 600mm sanitary trunk sewer was identified as a long-term system improvement, which provides sanitary sewer relief along Quaker Road connecting the Pelham Street Regional sanitary sewer to the outlet sewer east of Rice Road. This will provide adequate capacity for future sanitary flows.
