BizPaL is an innovative online service providing a central place to find all permit and licence information for your business. A complete list of necessary permits and licences from the municipal, provincial, and federal levels of government are generated based on some general business information you provide.

The licencing division is responsible for licensing businesses operating within Welland. Information regarding the requirements for each type of business licensed by the City is found in the Business Licensing by-law 2011-173 and the schedule for that business type.

- Schedule 7 — Personal service establishment (includes aesthetics, nail salons, and barbers and hairstyling shops)

Businesses licensed by the City are subject to required inspections upon initial application and renewal. The required inspections list is found in Schedule B of the Business Licensing by-law.
Please note that lottery licencing is handled by the office of the city clerk.
