FAQ

Q.        Why do I need a water meter?

Council has passed By-law Number 2004–119 requiring all households in the City of Welland to have a water meter installed.

Q.        Who do I call to get a water meter installed?

Neptune Technology Group is the company that has been contracted by the City of Welland to complete water meter installations.  Please call 1-800-667-4387 to book a meter installation appointment.

Q.        Will it cost me anything to have a water meter installed?

No.

Q.        What happens if I don’t have a water meter installed?

If you do not arrange for and allow a water meter to be installed, one month prior to your next water billing cycle, you will be charged triple your normal flat water rate on subsequent billings.
